If one of your New Year’s Resolutions is to be more mindful, or perhaps to deal with stress more effectively, then our Mindfulness & Stress course could be perfect for you!
A recent study by the Mental Health Foundation found that in the past year alone, 74% of UK adults have felt so overwhelmed by stress that they’ve been unable to cope*. Stress is one of the fastest growing issues in the UK, and the impact of stress on mental and physical health is extensive. Research shows that encouraging mindful resilience increases flexibility, personal wellbeing and work performance.
By encouraging mindfulness practices, our Clinical Psychologist Dr Kamila Hortynska, can help you develop the skills you need when considering how your values guide your actions.
Dr Kamila, who runs the course, says: “This course is for anyone who wants to learn quick and simple techniques to manage their stress, as well as unhelpful thoughts and emotions. It is also for those interested in learning how to live a satisfying and fulfilling life according to their own values in the areas of work, play, relationships and health.
“The 4-Week Mindfulness & Stress Course is open to everyone who has experienced stress, regardless of the cause. Common sources of stress include anxiety, worry, depression, health issues, pressure at work and self-criticism – and this course is designed to combat the impact of stress on our wellbeing. Numbers of stressed people are likely to keep increasing unless we implement a strategy to prioritise mindfulness and wellbeing practices.”
The course will run from January 22nd to February 12th on Tuesdays from 7pm – 9pm and is £160 for four sessions. Please give the centre a call for further information or to book your place on 01423 568 212.
