Whether you’re running a marathon, getting your football boots on for a weekly game of 5-a-side, or nipping to the shops, physical activity is important for your quality of life.
As part of our expansion at OneWellness, we are thrilled to announce that we are now offering Sports Performance Medicine clinics with Dr Rahul Lakhera. Alongside his new role at OneWellness, Dr Rahul is currently the Assistant First Team and Academy Doctor at Leeds United, bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience to the position.
Dr Rahul specialises in musculoskeletal injuries, rehabilitation, lifestyle medicine, acupuncture and steroid injections, and he takes an integrated approach to healthcare. He believes that lifestyle medicine is beneficial to everybody and wishes to share this passion with his patients to ensure that they reach their full potential, no matter the size of the issue.
He works closely with the physiotherapy and personal training team at OneWellness to offer a comprehensive assessment for each and every patient, creating a bespoke and tailored service that works for you.
He says: “Sports injuries can have a huge impact on our health – mentally as well as physically. At OneWellness, we use an integrated team approach to tackle all aspects of your injury and I am lucky to have such a broad variety of colleagues who work alongside me.
“I am delighted to have joined the growing team here at OneWellness, and our aim is to ensure that our clients come out the best versions of themselves. Rather than simply reacting to patient illnesses or injuries, our ethos is one of prevention over cure. This holistic approach to health and wellbeing is something I practice personally and really believe in. I have valuable insight into appreciating the stresses and strains of our modern-day lifestyle, and I want to share tips on how to counter this through simple habits.”
